The national launch of the RFD-TV/RURAL TV promotional campaign in support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation’s “Invest An Acre” was celebrated yesterday with a planting of the first-ever two acres on a small farm located near Elkhorn, Nebraska.
One acre of corn and one acre of soybeans were symbolically planted by RFD-TV and RURAL TV to represent the support of the American farmer for the Buffett initiative in conjunction with ADM and Feeding America. Howard W. Buffett and Patrick Gottsch, Founder/President Rural Media Group, Inc., were on hand for the ceremony, and each drove the tractor during the planting.
